Why make money when you can make millionaires? Loral Langemeier is the founder and CEO of the wealth-building mentoring program, Live Out Loud. She’s been featured in “The Secret,” and she’s the author of “The Millionaire Maker” series, including “The Millionaire Maker: Act, Think, and Make Money the Way the Wealthy Do”.
Loral Langemeier has many passions. She loves people, sports, teaching, money, play, dinner parties, wine, and fun. Everything she touches seems to become a passion to her. Growing up on a farm in Nebraska taught Loral never to “ask” for money, but that’s exactly what she does today. She teaches others to do it as well, and she turns some of them into millionaires.
If it’s worth doing, it’s worth getting paid to do it! Loral believes that with all her heart. She sees people all the time who have great ideas, but they’re afraid to ask for money. If you enjoy having children in your home, why not open a home daycare? If you enjoy woodworking, why not sell your craft at fairs? If you enjoy designing websites, why not work with paying clients?
Loral started her first business when she was a teenager. By her 30’s, she was a millionaire, and all she did was ask for money. She always had a passion for fitness and sports, so she decided to let people pay her to be their personal trainer. Then when she was in college, she showed her friends how to lead aerobics classes.
Her aerobics classes led to a business in which she was getting paid for other people’s efforts. She found the clients, and then she got a percentage of the profits her employees made. This eventually led to a multi-million dollar contract with the Chevron Corporation in which she set up fitness centers on over 200 offshore oil rigs.
Loral Langemeier’s motto might sound something like, “Strengthen Your Strengths, and Hire Your Weaknesses.” In other words, don’t waste your time. Building a very successful business requires you to hit the ground running. You can’t do that if you’re bogged down in the details because you don’t know what you’re doing.
Not everyone can afford to hire their own staff at first, but start with just one or two key people. If you’re not good with numbers, hire an accountant, even if it’s only a seasonal job. If you’re not good with people, hire someone to manage your human resources, public relations, or marketing efforts. The most important thing is to not sell yourself short. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well, and it’s worth being paid well to do it.
Not getting bogged down in the details doesn’t only apply to your business. It also applies to your life. People are into so many little things these days that they don’t have time to breathe. Cut out the things that aren’t essential or that can be handled by someone else. Focus on your business so that you can get out of the rat race to free up time with your family.
